A Place to Grow

以前の住まいは賃貸で、
キッチンとダイニングが非常にコンパクトな間取りだった。
食事と作業、生活の行為が同じ場所に重なり、
切り替えをつくることが難しい環境であった。

購入した物件は、もともと3LDK。
条件自体は良かったが、
キッチンが独立し、空間同士の関係が分断されていた。

そこで、部分的なリノベーションを行い、
キッチン下にあった一室を取り込み、
孤立していたキッチンを対面型へと変更した。
既存の部屋構成をあえて減らし、
2LDKとすることで、
リビングの面積と使い方に余白をつくっている。

玄関からリビングへ向かうまでの動線には、
収納、浴室、水回りが連続して配置されている。
外から持ち帰った物や気持ちを一度受け止め、
生活の雑音を整理したうえで、
広く整えられたリビングへと入る構成である。

仕事から戻ったあと、
意識を切り替えるための緩衝帯として機能するこの動線は、
空間の広さ以上に、
暮らしのリズムを安定させている。

住戸の正面には公園が広がり、
開けたグリーンビューを得ている。
2階という高さも相まって、
日当たりと眺望は強すぎず、
生活に寄り添う穏やかな条件となっている。

The previous home was a rental apartment.
The kitchen and dining area were extremely compact,
causing daily activities to overlap within a single space.
There was little separation between eating, working, and resting.

The purchased property was originally a 3LDK.
While the overall conditions were favorable,
the kitchen was isolated,
and the relationship between rooms felt disconnected.

A partial renovation was undertaken.
A room beneath the kitchen was removed,
allowing the kitchen to open up and shift into a facing layout.
By deliberately reducing the plan to a 2LDK,
the living area gained both spatial clarity and flexibility.

From the entrance to the living space,
storage, bathroom, and utility areas are arranged in sequence.
This circulation absorbs what is brought in from outside,
allowing daily noise and tension to settle
before entering the open, organized living room.

After returning from work,
this transition functions as a buffer—
helping reset awareness and pace.
It is not the size of the space alone,
but this sequence that stabilizes everyday life.

In front of the apartment lies an open park area.
Combined with its position on the second floor,
the residence receives gentle sunlight and a calm outlook,
creating a soft and balanced living environment.
